Terms of use

Practical terms for creating, downloading, and sharing static QR codes using this website.

Using the generator

QR Generator provides browser-based tools for creating static QR images. You are responsible for the information you encode, the destination you link to, and how you distribute or display your codes.

Use the site lawfully. Do not create codes for fraud, deceptive destinations, malicious software, unauthorized access, or material you have no right to share. Do not interfere with the site or manipulate advertising traffic.

Your content and downloaded files

You retain your rights in the content and logos you supply. You may use downloaded QR codes for personal or commercial purposes, subject to the rights in their underlying content and any applicable laws. Supplying a logo does not grant rights to someone else’s trademark.

The site does not verify ownership of destinations, confirm phone numbers, or validate the truth of contact details. Review and test everything before publishing.

Static codes and compatibility

A static QR code stores fixed content. It cannot be remotely edited or revoked by this tool, and the QR pattern has no built-in expiry. Websites, networks, messaging services, and other destinations can change, become unavailable, or apply their own rules.

Scanning behavior varies by device and reader. Styles, logos, print materials, lighting, and display size affect readability. The generator’s checks reduce common problems but do not guarantee that every exported design will scan on every device.

Editable links and management keys

Editable QR links use an online redirect service and stored website or app-store destinations. Short App Links select a destination from the request’s device information; some devices may need to choose a store manually. Links created while signed in belong to that Google account. Protect your Google account and sign out on shared devices. This service cannot recover access to a lost Google account. Guest links remain controlled by their private recovery files and are not automatically assigned to your signed-in account. Keep your private recovery file secure; anyone possessing a link’s key can change its destination or delete it. The service cannot recover a lost key. Deleting a link makes every printed code using it stop working.

Aggregate visit counts are approximate and are not proof of unique people, genuine camera scans, or advertising impressions. Do not create deceptive or malicious destinations, attempt to circumvent rate limits, or use the service to access private networks. Editable links depend on backend availability and free-tier quotas; the service does not promise perpetual hosting or uninterrupted redirects.

Availability and limitations

The tool is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted access or fitness for a specific purpose. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the site operator is not responsible for losses caused by incorrect content, unreadable codes, unavailable destinations, or reliance on the tool. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Do not rely on a QR code as the sole method for emergency assistance, safety-critical instructions, or essential access. Provide a readable alternative where failure would matter.

Third-party services

Destination websites, operating-system applications, and optional advertising or consent providers have their own terms and privacy practices. Their inclusion does not guarantee their availability or endorse every service or advertisement.

Privacy, changes, and contact

Our privacy policy explains local QR processing and visitor information processed by hosting or advertising services. The tool and these terms may be updated as the service changes.

Use the contact page for the operator’s published contact details and questions about these terms.
