Reporting a generator issue

Useful details include the QR type, the export format, your browser version, and the steps that reproduce the problem. A test using sample data is often enough to diagnose an issue.

Keep sensitive details out of reports

Do not send Wi-Fi passwords, private contact information, or confidential QR payloads. Describe the format of the information or substitute harmless sample values.

Before reporting a scanning issue

• Check the downloaded file rather than a scaled screenshot.
• Try a classic black or dark code on a white background.
• Keep a clear margin around every side and avoid logos that hide too much of the pattern.
• Try a second phone and a reader that supports the QR type you chose.

For a problem opening the destination website or sending a message, check the destination or your device’s default app as well as the code.
